Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal 1

Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal 1, also known as Main Terminal and KLIA, handles both international and domestic flights. 

KLIA consists of a main building and a satellite. 

Transfer Between Terminals

Free transfer service between KLIA and Klia2 is now available for passengers with interconnected flights.

Note that the service has to be booked in advance.

main building 

The Main Building facilities are split into 5 levels: 

Ground level

It has bus and train access. There is the KLIA Railway Station as well as ticket counters, some shops and facilities.

Access also to parking lots A, B, C and D and to the PanPacific Hotel. 

Level 1

This is the Arrivals level for both domestic and international services. Find here the baggage claim area and customs.

Ground transportation: Car rental booths. 

Services: Shops, cafés, information counters, ATMs, money changers, prayer areas, medical center, etc. 

Aerotrain transfers to gates A and B (domestic) is located here. 

Level 2

This is the Departures level.

There are check-in counters as well as shops and several services, security and immigration.

Passengers can access to the contact pier with gates A, B, G H.

Level 2 Mezzanine 

This level houses airlines offices and food court, known as Food Paradise as well as Aerotrain transfers to boarding gates H and G. 

CONTACT PIER 

It stands for a rectangular shaped building linked to the Main Terminal which can be reached on foot.

Passengers will find a good variety of shops, duty free, among others.

It houses gates with prefix A and B (domestic departures), G and H for international flights.

Aerotrain departs from here too, connecting the building with the Satellite. 

SATELLITE 

A X-shape building that handles several gates.

Passengers get to the Satellite by the Aerotrain from the Contact Pier.

Level 1

It accommodates the Aerotrain station, the International departure gates and a range of duty free shops and select stores.

There is a pharmacy and information counters too. 

Gates in Satellite Terminal have the prefix C. 

Level 2 - Mezzanine level

It houses lounges, cafés and restaurants. 

Services: Free Wi-Fi, information desk, banks, left luggage, transit hotel, post office, children’s play areas, movie lounge, etc.

Satellite building has a total of 27 boarding gates.
